莲藕绿豆排骨汤

I actually got this recipe from a newspaper cutting many many years ago, lost the article but still roughly remember the recipe :D The main ingredients are fresh lotus roots & green beans. These 2 items are known to help detox the body and reduce heatiness....


Ingredient
  • 500gm lotus roots, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup green beans, rinsed
  • 300gm pork ribs
  • 6 seedless red dates
  • 1 honey date
  • salt to taste
Method
  1. Blanch pork ribs in boiling water for 2mins. Drain away water.
  2. Add 8 cups water in a pot, bring to boil. Add in all ingredients except salt, bring to boil again. Lower heat and simmer for 1.5hrs. Add salt to taste.
