Recipe adapted from Alex Goh 'Fruity Cakes'
Ingredient
- 125gm butter
- 100gm sugar
- 1 tbsp osmanthus flower
- 2 eggs
- 180gm plain flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 90ml plain yoghurt
- Using a electri whish, cream butter, sugar & osmanthus flower until light. Add in eggs beating well after each addtional.
- Sift in flour mixture and fold in alternately with yoghurt ending with flour.
- Pour batter into lined 7" cake pan and bake in preheated oven at 160deg cel for 35mins or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Hi Peng, I'm going to bake this cake this weekend. From the picture, I realized you put the almond flakes as well. I would like to know when do I pour in the flakes? Or do you place them in the pan before pouring the cake mixture? Thanks and wish me luck!

Iris....grease the pan then coat with almond flakes then scoop in batter ;) I usually use greenfields brand bought from phoon huat.
