I actually got this recipe from a newspaper cutting many many years ago, lost the article but still roughly remember the recipe :D The main ingredients are fresh lotus roots & green beans. These 2 items are known to help detox the body and reduce heatiness....
Ingredient
- 500gm lotus roots, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup green beans, rinsed
- 300gm pork ribs
- 6 seedless red dates
- 1 honey date
- salt to taste
- Blanch pork ribs in boiling water for 2mins. Drain away water.
- Add 8 cups water in a pot, bring to boil. Add in all ingredients except salt, bring to boil again. Lower heat and simmer for 1.5hrs. Add salt to taste.
